Positivity rate creeps up, Ky. gains 3,394 COVID cases

The COVID-19 positivity rate continues to rise slowly in Kentucky as the state recorded another 3,394 cases in the last week.

The positivity rate is up to 5.67 percent, an increase of over a percentage point since last week, and there were also 156 newly reported deaths, bringing the death toll in the Commonwealth up to 15,568 since the pandemic began.

In some good news, hospitalization data remains fairly low, with 187 individuals in the hospital with COVID-19, 31 in the ICU and 13 on a ventilator.
