HCC Board of Directors hears enrollment update

The Hopkinsville Community College Board of Directors got an update on the state of the college at a meeting Monday afternoon.

The community college continues to recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, much like many others, but one stat that seems to be improving in enrollment.  Angel Prescott says while numbers are down for the fall term so far compared to the spring term, it was greatly improved compared to the fall term of 2021.

She says they continue to make big strides towards getting enrollment up, and even though they have a ways to go, she’s proud of what they’ve accomplished.

President and CEO Dr. Alissa Young detailed their four-year strategic plan, saying programs are expanding, recruiting and retention efforts are underway, and academic excellence with compassion remains in top priority.
