COVID positivity rate up slightly again, numbers still low

Kentucky’s COVID-19 positivity rate has climbed for the second straight week, but 117 of 120 counties remain green on the community level map.

There were 3,257 new cases in the last week and the positivity rate is up to 3.12 percent—up from 2.27 percent last week.

Ninety-seven more COVID deaths were reported, bringing Kentucky’s pandemic death toll to 15,297.

The only three yellow counties are in far-eastern Kentucky, as the entire Pennyrile region remains green.
