The Christian County Health Department is offering more booster shots against COVID-19 as the community continues to show low numbers of new cases.
Chole Rager with the health department appeared on WHOP Wednesday morning and says Christian County continues to show low incidence rates for COVID-19. The CDC recently approved a second booster shot for certain groups and Rager says that includes those who are immune-compromised.
Individuals who fall into that category can walk into the health department on Canton Street in Hopkinsville on Thursday and get that booster.
The National Guard members who had been assisting the health department with administering COVID vaccinations have been released from their duties.
The health department is also accepting appointments for annual vaccinations for children of all ages, outside of COVID-19—to make an appointment, call (270) 887-4160.
