Positivity rate drops below two percent in Ky.

The COVID-19 positivity rate in Kentucky has dropped below two percent, to 1.97 percent, as the Commonwealth recorded 3,948 new cases in the last week.

According to the weekly update, there were also 135 COVID deaths reported, putting the death toll since the pandemic began at 15,028, passing another grim milestone. The number of those in the hospital and on a ventilator continue to decrease—there were 240 individuals in the hospital, 36 in the ICU and 18 on a ventilator.

Out of 120 counties in the Kentucky, only six were in the ‘yellow’ on the COVID-19 community spread map—Christian, Todd, Trigg and all surrounding counties are in the ‘green’.
