Albert Pujols says this will be his last season in the majors. The 42-year-old slugger agreed to a one-year deal worth $ 2.5-million with the St. Louis Cardinals, where he’ll finish out his career as a designated hitter. Pujols enters the season with 679 career home runs, so 21 more bombs gets him to 700. He combined to bat .236 with the Los Angeles Angels and Dodgers last season.

NBA

The Memphis Grizzlies did fine without Ja Morant last night in routing the Golden State Warriors 123-95 last night. The Grizzlies return to action tomorrow night at San Antonio.

Bowling Green native Terry Taylor had 11 points off the bench in the Indiana Pacers 132-123 loss to the Atlanta Hawks. The Pacers host the Denver Nuggets tomorrow night.

The Nashville Predators return to action this evening hosting the Ottawa Senators with first puck dropping at 7 pm.
