Positivity rate drops below three percent in Ky.

The positivity rate has dropped below three percent as Kentucky recorded 5,530 cases of COVID-19 in the last week.

According to the weekly update, Christian and Todd counties are in the ‘green’ on the state COVID-19 community spread map, while Trigg county remains in the ‘yellow’. The positivity rate is at 2.29 percent, the lowest it has been in some time.

There were 236 newly reported deaths in the last week, setting the death toll at 14,895 since the pandemic began in the Commonwealth.

There are 263 individuals in the hospital with COVID-19, 50 in the ICU and 25 on a ventilator.
