Severe weather possible Wednesday

Severe weather will be possible Wednesday across western Kentucky and there will be gusty winds, even outside of any storms.

The Storm Prediction Center has all of western Kentucky and most of middle Tennessee, including Clarksville, under a slight risk for severe weather Wednesday. Damaging winds will be the primary threat, but a few tornadoes will also be possible.

Sustained winds of 20 to 30 mph will be likely throughout the day Wednesday and there could be gusts as high as 50 mph.

An inch to an inch and a half of rain will also be likely, though major flooding issues are not expected.
