Christian County Public Schools returned to in-person learning Monday morning and Superintendent Chris Bentzel says staffing numbers improved over the weekend.
The district utilized non-traditional instruction Friday due to a combination of residual snow and ice from Thursday and increased COVID numbers in staff and students. Bentzel says after speaking with faculty and staff over the weekend, they felt good about being in buildings Monday morning.
For students who are not COVID positive, but who are close contacts to someone who is, Bentzel reminds they continue to offer the test-to-stay program each morning at Christian County Middle School as long as parents consent to their child being tested for the virus.
Bentzel appeared on WHOP to remind the community about the State of the Schools eye-opener breakfast set for Tuesday morning at 7:30 in partnership between the school system and Christian County Chamber of Commerce.
