Legislators return to Frankfort today for Week 4 of the Kentucky General Assembly, many with priorities still in mind after the budget passed the House last week.
A transportation budget still has to pass both chambers and state Senator Whitney Westerfield says improvements at the new high school site at Fort Campbell Boulevard and Lovers Lane are a top priority for him.
Representative Walker Thomas agrees the location of the new high school construction is a top priority locally.
Representative Myron Dossett expects the General Assembly to approve additional emergency provisions for school districts affected by last month’s tornadoes.
The House and Senate are scheduled to be in Frankfort for a full five-day week.
