Meek files for Hopkinsville City Council in Ward 8

Republican Robert Terry Meek filed to run for Hopkinsville City Council in Ward 8 Friday.

Ward 8 is currently represented by Tom Johnson, who has not yet filed his papers to seek re-election, with Meek presently unopposed.

The filing deadline is Tuesday afternoon, but that’s still subject to change again with a lawsuit against the General Assembly re-districting maps pending with the Supreme Court.
