Clayton announces retirement as Hopkinsville football coach

After two stints as head coach, Hopkinsville High’s Craig Clayton announced his retirement Wednesday afternoon:

Clayton spent 24 seasons as Tigers coach where he went 182-111. Overall, with his time at Hillsboro and Franklin in Tennessee, Clayton went 306-162. Clayton got his 300th win this past season against Caldwell County. Tigers associate head coach Dustin Lopez will take over as interim coach at Hopkinsville.
