Unemployment dropped from September to October in all nine Pennyrile counties.
Christian County’s jobless rate was 4.5 percent, down from 4.9 percent in September and down from 5.3 percent one year ago. It equated to 1,118 people who were looking for work and unable to find it.
Todd County had Kentucky’s fifth-lowest jobless rate at an even 3 percent, down from 3.1 percent the previous month and from 3.2 percent in October of 2020.
The unemployment rate in Trigg County was 3.9 percent, down from 4.1 percent in September and down from 4.7 percent one year ago.
Muhlenberg County had the region’s highest jobless rate at 5.4 percent and Magoffin County had the highest in the state at 10.2 percent.
