Storytime, Epic Hour returning to public library in December

The Hopkinsville Christian County Public Library is happy to share that Epic Hour and Storytime are back beginning in December.

According to a news release, story time returns on Wednesday, December 1st at 10 a.m. This hour-long program is designed for children from age zero to five years old. It includes a staff member reading a story, participants joining in a singalong and completing a take home craft activity.

Epic Hour is a weekly one-hour program on Tuesdays from 5 pm to 6 pm for children ages 5 to 18. December, however, will only have one Epic Hour program on Tuesday, December 7th. Plans are to return to the weekly programming beginning on January 4. During Epic Hour, youth are divided into three separate groups with age-appropriate programs.

Executive Director DeAnna Sova says, “We are excited to return to our youth programming after nearly 2 years. The staff is ready, and the community is ready”.

Each group is supervised by an HCCPL Staff member and are instructed in youth friendly activities. Past programs have included computer coding, robotics, 3D printing and Human games of Hungry Hungry Hippo.
