Rain didn’t stop the 20th Annual Turkey Trot Thanksgiving morning in downtown Hopkinsville.
Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation Superintendent Tab Brockman praised a hearty crowd that braved the rain and cool temperatures and says there will be a more informal version of the trot Saturday morning at 10 beginning at the dog park on Pardue Lane.
He says he was thankful for those who did show up at Founders Square at a rainy 8 a.m. hour Thursday to walk or run the route.
Brockman also announced that the 2022 Hoptown Half-Marathon and 5K will be moved from its traditional September timeframe to October 22.
