Pioneers continue tradition of helping those in need on Thanksgiving

Anyone who needed a Thanksgiving meal could go to Pioneers Inc. Thursday morning in a tradition that has stood the test of time for over three decades in Hopkinsville.

William Brown chairs the Thanksgiving Committee and says they’ve provided dinners to those in need on Thanksgiving for 37 years as a way to give back to a community that has supported them.

He says they’ve heard from countless people over those years who appreciated their efforts and generosity.

While the distribution of plates to the drive-thru line went from 10 a.m. until noon, members of the Pioneers were in their facility early in the morning getting everything prepared and ready to go.
