A Dawson Springs teen was killed and two others were severely injured in an accident Tuesday night in Caldwell County.
Kentucky State Police say 18-year old Landon Pace of Dawson Springs was westbound on KY 672 just before 6:30 p.m. and drove into the intersection of KY 91 and into the path of a southbound SUV operated by 31-year old Michael Lipson of Princeton.
Their vehicles collided and both entered the parking lot of a nearby Dollar General, with Pace’s automobile then striking unoccupied parked car.
Pace and Lipson were both taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
A passenger in Pace’s vehicle, 18-year old Logan McKnight of Dawson Springs, was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
A 16-year old passenger in Pace’s automobile was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
Dawson Springs School System Superintendent Leonard Whalen invited students and the community to a prayer vigil that was held Wednesday afternoon, where there were multiple clergy and counselors on hand to help the teens’ family and friends.
