The man seriously injured after being hit by a pickup early Thursday morning in Hopkinsville has been transferred to a Nashville hospital.
As previously reported the accident happened a few minutes after 4 a.m. near the Ninth Street intersection and the collision report from Hopkinsville police says the incident was captured on video surveillance at the Christian County Sheriff’s Department.
It shows 37-year old Jerry Delaney of Hopkinsville walking south from South O’Neal Avenue and directly into the path of an eastbound pickup on Seventh operated by 62-year old Michael Wilkerson of Hopkinsville.
Delaney was lying on the road and still breathing when police arrived and was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
Later in the morning, EMS took him to Outlaw Field in Clarksville, where a helicopter was waiting to fly him to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
