Man arrested on burglary, assault charges

A Hopkinsville man was arrested early Monday morning after he allegedly went into his neighbor’s home and assaulted him.

The Hopkinsville police report says 50-year old Ronald Wadlington of Hopkinsville made force entry into his neighbor’s home in the 500 block of West Edmonds Street about 4:30 a.m. and assaulted him.

Wadlington also allegedly tried to steal a debit card, but it was recovered and returned to the victim.

Officers arrested Wadlington and charged him with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief.

The victim sustained only minor injuries, according to the report.
