Warmup expected briefly this week before cooler temps return

Temperatures will warm for a few days this week, but it’s expected to get colder for the weekend and Thanksgiving week.

Meteorologist Derrick Snyder with the National Weather Service in Paducah said during a weekly conference call Monday that a warm front will bring temperatures in to the lower 70’s Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon and then rainfall will come in Wednesday night and Thursday morning preceding a cool weekend.

The long-term outlook is showing Thanksgiving week to have below normal temperatures and near normal precipitation.

This week’s rainfall event shouldn’t be anything major, with between a half inch and an inch of precipitation expected.
