A Republican from Madisonville has filed to run for the U.S. House of Representatives in the first district of Kentucky.
That seat is currently held by Congressman James Comer, but according to a news release, David Sharp has officially thrown his hat into the ring for the seat. Sharp calls himself a “true Kentucky conservative” and says the constituents of the first district deserve a more conservative voice in Washington.
Sharp is the first person to formally file paperwork to seek that office.
