Police in Todd County Sunday received several complaints regarding a possible social media threat against Todd County Central High School, but investigation determined the threat to be unsubstantiated.
Elkton Police Officer Jakop Smith says someone calling himself “Alex Anderson” made a snap on SnapChat threatening to harm 10 to 15 students and five administrators at “Central High School.”
Police were able to determine the post had been circulating on social media for some time and may have been in reference to a school in Missouri.
Even so, Officer Smith says Elkton PD and the Todd County Sheriff’s Office will have an extra presence at the middle and high schools Monday.
