Kentucky’s COVID positivity rate continues to fall

Kentucky’s rolling COVID positivity rate dropped each day this week as the numbers continue to trend in the right direction.

Governor Andy Beshear on Friday announced 1,626 new cases Friday and 29 more deaths.

Kentucky’s positivity rate was down to 6.25 percent.

There are 1,012 people in Kentucky hospitals with COVID, 289 in the ICU and 187 on a ventilator.

Christian, Todd, Trigg and Hopkins counties are now all orange on the COVID incidence rate map, while Muhlenberg and Caldwell counties remain red.
