The number of new and active cases of COVID-19 in Christian County continues to drop, but the local death toll has gone up by two.
The most recent fatalities were a 91-year old unvaccinated white male with underlying conditions and a 44-year old unvaccinated African-American female with underlying health conditions. Christian County’s COVID death toll now stands at 131.
There were 79 new cases reported in Christian County over the last week and the active case count has fallen to 156.
The health department continues to offer COVID vaccines and Pfizer booster shots for those who are eligible. Flu shots are also now available on a walk-in basis.
