Ky. COVID positivity rate falls below 7 percent

Kentucky’s COVID positivity rate is now below 7 percent as all of the numbers continue to trend in the right direction.

Governor Andy Beshear announced 1,899 new cases Wendesday, 52 more deaths and a positivity rate that’s dipped to 6.83 percent.

Approximately 2.76 million Kentuckians have now received at least one dose of a COVID vaccine.

There are 1,115 Kentuckians hospitalized with COVID, 321 in the ICU and 207 on a ventilator.

Christian, Todd and Hopkins Counties are orange on the incidence rate map, while Trigg and Muhlenberg are red.
