Ramp closures planned for work at Parkway-Interstate 24 interchange this morning

Some motorists needing to utilize the Pennyrile Parkway-Interstate 24 interchange will have to find another route to reach their destination today.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says sometime around mid-morning, the I-24 off-ramp to northbound Pennyrile Parkway will be closed for a short duration to allow milling operations to be performed on a portion of the ramp.

There will be no marked detour, but motorists can continue east on I-24 and use Exit 86, at U.S. 41A to return to the Pennyrile Parkway.

Following the off-ramp closure, the southbound on-ramp from Pennyrile Parkway to eastbound I-24 will also be closed for a short duration to allow milling operations on a portion of that ramp.

There will be no signed detour. Motorists will be sent westbound onto I-24 and can use Exit 73, at KY 117 to return to the Pennyrile Parkway.
