A young Oak Grove woman was injured after her car struck a deer early Tuesday morning on the Pennyrile Parkway.
Christian County Sheriff’s Sgt. Adam Vanderkolk says 18-year old Jakayla Watkins of Oak Grove had been headed south near the 16 mile-marker just before 1 a.m. when the animal ran into her path.
Watkins’ injuries were not life-threatening and a passenger in her car was not hurt.
