Two people were injured—one seriously—in a two-vehicle crash Saturday night near Murray that also sent one driver to jail for DUI.
Calloway County deputies say 41-yar old Derrick Galloway of Murray was northbound on KY 121 and rear-ended a stopped car operated by 50-year old Elizabeth Lynn of Murray, who was stopped and waiting for traffic to pass so she could turn left onto Robertson Road.
Lynn’s vehicle then went off the roadway and struck an embankment, sign and brick wall before coming to rest.
Lynn and her passenger, 54-year old Penny Lynn of Murray, were both taken by EMS to Murray-Calloway County Hospital. Elizabeth had non-life-threatening injuries and Penny had what are classified as serious injuries.
Investigation led to Galloway being arrested and charged with aggravated DUI.
