Calloway County deputy injured in accident

A Calloway County sheriff’s deputy was injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday night on Highway 80.

A news release from the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office says Stacy Joiner was attempting to turn left from KY 80 onto Brinn Road and drove into the path of an eastbound Dodge Charger cruiser driven by 29-year old Deputy Jacob Hamm.

Their vehicles collided in the intersection, causing Joiner’s pickup to overturn.

Hamm was taken by EMS to Murray-Calloway County Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
