Negotiations continue and a pretrial hearing was set in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday afternoon in the case against Robert Torian, the man charged with murder in the shooting death of Terrill Moore.
Defense attorney Jason Byrd informed the court that he and his co-counsel intend to meet with their client this month to go over all the discovery and information in this case, as they contemplate possible resolutions.
Torian himself voiced frustration at having had to wait so long to see all of the evidence in his case, saying it’s his right to see what’s levied against him.
A pretrial hearing was set for December 8—currently, Torian is set to go to trial on January 10. The original arrest warrant from Hopkinsville police says Torian and Moore had been in an argument while both were passengers in a vehicle on McHenry Street in August of 2019. Torian was in the back seat when he exited, opened the front passenger door and allegedly shot Moore in the head.
