Cold front to bring rain, more fall-like weather

An unsettled weather pattern will move into Western Kentucky this week and will bring cooler temperatures for the weekend.

Dan Spaeth is the senior meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Paducah and said during the weekly conference call that the southern Pennyrile Region could see up to a half-inch of rain between Thursday night and Saturday morning, which will usher in more fall-like conditions.

The long-range forecast is showing warmer and drier than normal weather next week.

Spaeth says a dry next week would likely be welcomed for area farmers in their harvest season.
