Glasgow man severely injured in Logan County crash

A Glasgow man is in a Nashville hospital with severe injuries following a wreck in Logan County Sunday.

According to a news release from the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to reports of a crash in the 2100 block of Sharp Garden Road around 12:30 p.m. Investigation determined that a motorcycle operated by 49-year-old John Doyle of Glasgow had been heading west on Sharp Garden with a dog ran into the roadway.  Doyle attempted to miss the dog and in doing so, the motorcycle left the road, causing him to lay the bike down.

He reportedly suffered severe head trauma due the accident, as he was not wearing a helmet.  He was taken by helicopter to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville where he is listed in critical condition.
