Ky. gains 2,145 new cases of COVID, 31 deaths

Kentucky reported 2,145 new cases of COVID-19 Friday, along with 31 new deaths.

The positivity rate continued to decline, now down to 8.49 percent, the lowest it has been in several weeks and showing a trend of decreasing numbers across the board, including in hospitalizations, newly reported cases and more.

The 31 new deaths puts the death toll at 9,053. On the state incidence rate map, Trigg County is now labeled as ‘orange’, while Christian and Todd County remain ‘red.’

There are currently 1,514 people in the hospital with COVID-19, 466 in the ICU and 310 on a ventilator.
