Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation gearing up for several events in the coming weeks

A slew of events is taking place for Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation in the coming weeks, starting with Movies in the Park Friday afternoon.

Marketing and Events Coordinator Taylor Duke appeared on WHOP Thursday morning and says she’s excited about the events coming up, including a showing of Avengers: Age of Ultron at the Trail of Tears Heritage Park, starting as soon as the sun goes down.

Duke is particularly excited for the return of trick-or-treating to downtown Hopkinsville on October 29 from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., saying she can’t wait to see everyone in costume.

Then on November 6 will be the return of the Veterans’ Day, Veterans Honor Parade starting at 10 a.m. downtown, and ending at the Christian County Justice Center.
