A Hopkinsville man is facing charges of second-burglary following an investigation into a burglary in progress Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Hopkinsville Police Department report, officers were called to a home on Anthony Drive for reports that there was a burglary in progress. Officers attempted to make contact with the person inside but were unsuccessful—once a person with a key to the residence let them in, they discovered 29-year-old Dyllan Pendleton of Hopkinsville inside.
He reportedly did not have permission from either the homeowner or the keyholder to be in the residence, and allegedly changed his story when confronted.
Pendleton was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary.
