Hopkinsville police are investigating a strong-arm robbery outside of the Walmart Supercenter Sunday afternoon.
Loss Prevention personnel at Walmart confronted a man about alleged shoplifting and HPD was notified.
Before officers arrived, the suspect forcibly took the keys to a van from a woman he knows and then fled with her vehicle.
He was able to get away, but is being sought on charges of first-degree robbery and second-degree burglary.
The woman was not injured in the incident.
