A woman wanted on a warrant for attempted murder of a police officer was arrested Sunday in Lyon County.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office made a traffic stop on a vehicle and identified a passenger as 31-year-old Sabrina Jones-Adams of Marion.
A computer check showed she was wanted for seven separate warrants, including the attempted murder charge in Crittenden County.
The Marion Police Department says that a few minutes after 11 a.m. on September 1, officers responded to a trespassing complaint and found Jones getting into a car.
She allegedly put the vehicle in reverse and nearly backed over the police chief who was on foot and then rammed a police truck before leading officers on a high-speed pursuit that was ultimately terminated due to the danger she was causing to other motorists.
Jones-Adams is additionally charged with wanton endangerment and parole violation, among many other crimes.
