The speed limit for Needmore Road in Clarksville has been lowered to 35 miles per hour for the entire length of the roadway.
According to a news release, safety was the primary factor in the change as the roadway has seen a dramatic increase in volume over the past few years. Prior to this change the speed limit varied in different locations, but the limit is now uniform from Wilma Rudolph Boulevard to Tiny Town Road.
The Clarksville Street Department has installed new signs posting a 35 miles per hour limit.
