NatureFest at Jeffers’ Bend Environmental Center is coming up Saturday and they’ll be teaching kids about nature, health and wellness and more with a multitude of activities.
Charles Turner with Jeffers’ Bend spoke with WHOP News and says they’ll have upwards of 40 booths with educational activities and events, including canoeing, obstacles courses, archery, crafts and more from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Cost is $10 per vehicle at the gate, and you’ll be given a ‘passport’ at the time to fill out and have a chance to win prizes.
Starting at 5:30 p.m., Turner says they’ll be having a celebration of life service in honor of those who have passed that have their name inscribed on a brick at the Jeffers’ Bend patio, with certificates to be presented to their families.
Turner says this year’s event has two themes, one being Health and Wellness and the other being Water and Land Conservation, supported by their two sponsors, Jennie Stuart Health and the Natural Resource and Conversation Service.
