Lane restrictions planned for part of US 68 in Trigg County

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans intermittent work zone lane restrictions along U.S. 68 west of Cadiz in Trigg County beginning Thursday.

A news release says work zone lane restrictions at various locations along the four-lane section of U.S. 68 between Cadiz and Canton are to facilitate a final round of shouldering, grading in the median, slope erosion repairs, seeding, ditching, and other finish work.  The contractor will also be doing some additional work along the multi-use trail.

Motorists should be prepared to encounter intermittent work zone lane restrictions along about seven miles of the U.S. 68 corridor between Boyd’s Landing Road near Canton and the intersection with U.S. 68-Business at the west edge of Cadiz

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and construction personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.  The work zone segments are expected to move frequently as work progresses.  When possible, lane restrictions will be removed at night.
