Kentucky gains 4,030 COVID cases, 24 deaths

Kentucky gained 4,030 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, along with 24 new deaths.

That’s according to the daily update from Governor Andy Beshear, which also shows a positivity rate of 13.45 percent—the 24 new deaths puts the death toll since the pandemic began at 8,095.  Of the newly reported cases, 1,154 of them were individuals 18 years of age and younger.

On the state incidence rate map, 119 of 120 counties remains ‘red’, with the only exception being Clinton County, which is listed as ‘orange’.

There are currently 2,514 COVID positive patients hospitalized, 666 in the ICU and 428 on a ventilator.
