September likely to remain warmer than average

The remnants of Tropical Storm Nicholas shouldn’t have much of an impact on Western Kentucky and we’re likely to remain in a relatively hot and humid pattern for much of the remainder of September.

Meteorologist Mike York said during Monday’s weekly conference call that the best chance for rain this week is Wednesday, when a few storms could be strong, and it’s looking like September will remain hot.

The long range outlook is showing next week’s forecast is looking to be warmer and wetter than normal.

Heavy rains from the remnants of Nicholas are expected to remain well to our south.
