Phil Mickelson will go to the Ryder Cup later this month but not as a player. US captain Steve Stricker announced today Mickelson and Fred Couples will serve as vice captains when the US faces Europe September 24-26 at Whistling Straits in Kohler, WI. The other vice captains are Davis Love III, Zach Johnson and Jun Furyk.
