Ribbon cut for Salvation Army Thrift Store reopening

The Salvation Army of Hopkinsville’s thrift shop is officially back open for business after a ribbon cutting was held Wednesday morning.

The thrift shop is located at 701 South Clay Street in Hopkinsville and is host to deals and bargains that anyone can take advantage of.  Lieutenant Lindsey Galabeas says they’re excited to bring this back to the community, and says that any time you shop there or donate, all that money goes back to supporting the local Salvation Army and their programs to help those in need.

Christian County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Taylor Hayes praised the Salvation Army, saying Hopkinsville is blessed to have them in the city.

The organization will soon begin looking for volunteers to participate in the Ring the Bell campaign later in the year, and volunteers and donations are always accepted.  For more information on the thrift shop, or to volunteer, visit the Hopkinsville Salvation Army on Facebook.
