The United Way of the Pennyrile will officially kick off its fundraising campaign Thursday with a breakfast in an untraditional setting.
Brooke Jung and former Hopkinsville mayor Dan Kemp are co-chairing this year’s campaign and Jung says the kick off is 7:30 a.m. Thursday under the pavilion at Tie Breaker Park.
This year’s goal is “Baking a Difference,” a nod to the “Batter Capital of the World,” and Kemp says this year’s fundraising goal is $750,000.
Jung says there’s still time to start a campaign to raise money for the 20 United Way agencies.
Some of the campaign cabinets are already well into their efforts and attendees Thursday morning will hear their reports.
