An arrest warrant for criminal child abuse was served Thursday against a Hopkinsville woman.
It alleges that 25-year old Jessica Maddux of Hopkinsville used a wooden spoon to strike a five and six-year old, causing bruising to both victims.
The children reportedly told social workers they were whipped with the spoon as a means of discipline and photos were reportedly taken of the bruising on their buttocks and legs.
Maddux was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal abuse.
