Driver fatigue was a factor in a single-vehicle accident early Tuesday morning on Country Club Lane.
It happened a few minutes before 3:30 a.m. and the collision report from Hopkinsville police says 30-year-old Tijuana McClain of Hopkinsville was eastbound on Country Club when she apparently fell asleep at the wheel.
Her car veered off the roadway at a high rate of speed, traveled about 165 feet and struck a tree in front of 518 Country Club.
McClain, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by EMS to Tennova Health Hospital in Clarksville for treatment of multiple injuries.
