Man who once pled guilty to 2013 manslaughter charge back in jail after manhunt Thursday

A Paducah man who was once convicted of manslaughter in Christian County was arrested in Princeton following a manhunt Thursday morning and afternoon.

Kentucky State Police and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office had been looking for 30-year old Trevion Clary after he fled his vehicle on foot on Interstate 69 during a traffic stop and went into a wooded area. Police had believed he was armed with a handgun and considered him dangerous.

Princeton police received a call a few minutes after 4 that a man matching Clary’s description was in the area of the Dollar Tree and officers were able to locate and arrest him.

Clary was served with warrants out of Christian County for failure to appear and bond revocation and with other warrants out of McCracken and Grayson counties.

He’s facing new charges of fleeing or evading police, trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon in Lyon County.

Clary pled guilty to second-degree manslaughter in 2017 for the 2013 death of Alicia Jackson on Howell Street. That plea deal came with a 10-year sentence, but Clary was released early on parole and has been arrested at least three times this year.
