A man is dead following a shooting early Sunday morning on Hazel Street in Hopkinsville.
Christian County Deputy Coroner Christy Adams identified the victim as 28-year old Calvin Buckner of Jan Drive, Hopkinsville.
Hopkinsville Police Detective Randall Greene says Buckner died at Jennie Stuart Medical Center from a gunshot wound to the chest he sustained just after 3:30 a.m. at an outdoor party just south of East 21st Street on Hazel.
The incident report says a .40 caliber pistol and magazine loaded with six rounds was seized in the investigation.
No arrests have been made and anyone with information on the incident should call HPD at 270-890-1300.
