The Western Kentucky State Fair closed out with a big Saturday night, as 6,688 people walked through the gates.
That was more than the 4,477 from 2019 and it brings the cumulative attendance total to 40,972.
That was a big jump from 31,180 two years ago and it’s the highest total for any fair since at least 2013.
Nights when it rained were the only fair days that didn’t exceed the 2019 attendance, as folks were happy to be back at the fairgrounds after last year’s event was canceled by the pandemic.
